For the last 18 years in a row (!!!) I managed to torture myself with great restraint in releasing these “Best of the Year” lists. This time, I spent an entire month with these selections, working with the featured artists and labels in generously sharing Bandcamp codes exclusively on Headphone Community [you can still join and grab them while they last!], thereby amplifying this celebration even more! Honestly, I am a bit exhausted. I hope your wallet feels exhausted, too! I am especially proud of this list, which falls into one of my favourite categories! This is the music that excites every neuron, challenges ordinary thought, and triggers yet another action. Dark, chaotic, beautiful, cinematic, glitchy, quirky – these are adjectives that fail to describe the sound once again. How futile are these words, and how beautiful the music! Enjoy!!!
